Merrianne M. Templeton

June 22, 1926 - September 10, 2012

Merrianne M. Templeton, age 86, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Heartland of Oregon Nursing Home. Merrianne was born in Burlington, Vermont on June 22, 1926. She went on to live in New York State, and Chicago, Illinois, before coming to Toledo to be with her family. She worked as a candy maker for the Russell Stover Candy Company. Merrianne enjoyed making quilts, and painting, and was an active member of her church until her health issues made it difficult for her to attend.
She is survived by her children, Mary (James) Kirby, Carol Baker, and Barbara Scheffler; grandchildren, Steven Chernota, Donald Chernota, Julie Haynes, Joey Scheffler, Brian Baker, Daniel Baker, Gidget Baker, Julie Templeton, and Alice Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Sarah Chernota, Christopher Norris, Randy Chernota, Amanda Chernota, Amy Chernota, Samantha Haynes, Michael Haynes, and an extended family of 17 grandchildren on the Baker side of the family; great-great-grandchildren, Gabriel Chernota, Dominic Chernota, Brooklynn Haynes, John Norris, Jordan Mayer, Kayla Mayer, and a newborn infant Baker; and sister, Helen.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Oregon Cemetery.
