Beatrice Margaret Callahan, age 82, passed away on October 26, 2011 at Heartland of Oregon. She was born on October 31, 1928 to Homer and Alice Deline at their Adams Township home. Beatrice was an assistant cook at Libbey High School and Jones Junior High School during the 1960's. She worked in a number of sales positions, retiring after 22 years with J. C. Penney after working in the warehouse, and later as a sales clerk. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 606, and the R.E.A. Association. Beatrice was also a member of Calvary Assembly of God.
She is survived by her children, David (Coral) Callahan, Rita (John) Bollman, and Mary Boone; 12 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren; and sister, Esther Campbell.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Richard Callahan; and sons, Richard Raymond “Butch” Callahan, and Timothy Dean Callahan.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 29 at the funeral home. Burial at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
