Life Legacy
Mr. Winston Gill was born March 8, 1940 to the late Luvert and Oliviea Gill in Bessemer, Alabama. Winston was 71 years old when he made the transition from this life on Monday, September 12, 2011, in Darlington Nursing & Rehab. Center. Winston graduated from Retes Electronic and Technology School in 1978. Winston loved and enjoyed repairing old television and electronic devices. Winston was employed at Ford Motors for a number of years. Winston was a bachelor, no children. Winston accepted Jesus Christ at a late age. But once he accepted Christ as his personal Savior, he studied and read the Bible daily.
He leaves to mourn his passing; sisters, Shela (William) Goree, Dorothy (Eugene) Herron, and Margaret (Dan) Ewing; brothers, Clyde L. (Rena) Kynard, Oscar L. (Mary Ann) Kynard, David Kynard, George Kynard, and Leroy Kynard; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Winston was preceded in death by sisters, Janita Walker, Rebecca Brown and Lorraine Ree Davis; and brother, Roosevelt Gill.
Wake Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 19 at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood) 419-269-1111, where Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial, Forest Cemetery.
