Elder John Smith, passed February 26, 2010, in Toledo, Ohio. He was born in New York City, and grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a veteran of WWII. Elder Smith was Pastor of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ in Jacksonville, Florida, as well as Buffalo, NY. Elder Smith has been a resident of Toledo, OH since 1984. He was a member of Powerhouse Tabernacle P.C.C.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Amanda L. Smith. Surviving are devoted children, Evangelist Cynthia Robinson-Smith, Francine (Malik) Muhammad, Francie (Elder David) Robinson, their children, Dorsey Smith, Darius Smith, Da’Vida and Danielle Robinson, grandsons, Dr. Lawrence (Shena) Robinson, Jr., Jason Robinson, Brian Robinson, their father, Elder Lawrence Robinson (Robin), Sr., 3 sisters-in-law, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family Hour, Thursday, March 4, 2010, 11 a.m., Funeral Services 12 noon, Powerhouse Tabernacle, PCC, 1228 Campbell Street, Toledo, OH 43607. Bishop Nelson Clark officiating. Graveside Services with full Military Honors will be Friday March 5, 2010 at 930 AM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.
