Kelleigh Flanner
November 23, 1954 - January 12, 2010
Kelleigh Clare Flanner,
beloved daughter, sister and
aunt, went to be with the
Lord suddenly in her home
on January 12th, 2010. Born
in Toledo Hospital on
November 23rd, 1954. She
graduated from Sylvania
High School in 1972. She then
obtained a licensed practical
nursing degree. Later she
graduated from The
University of Toledo with a
Bachelor's Degree in
Independent Studies. She
then passed the L.S.A.T. required
for admittance to law
school and attended Ohio
Northern University Law
School. After deciding that a
law career was not what she
wanted to pursue, she reentered
the nursing profession.
She became an excellent
and compassionate
nurse in Neurological Intensive
Care at St. Vincent's
Hospital. Most recently she
utilized her nursing skills to
care for her mother at their
home in Toledo. Most known
and loved for her contagious
smile and laughter, she
enjoyed boating and skiing at
Devil's Lake, Michigan, snow
skiing in Park City, Utah, and
found great pleasure in
gardening. Most of all, she
enjoyed spending time with
her nieces and nephews,
whose lives were greatly
enhanced by her presence
and love.
Kelleigh is survived by her
mother, Shirley B. Flanner;
her sister, Denison (Sue)
Dutton and husband, Ryan;
her brother, George C.
Flanner IV and wife, Grace;
three nieces, Angela, April
and Julianna Flanner and
eight nephews, J.R. and Tyler
Dutton, and Nathaniel,
Nicholas, Neil, Alexander,
George V and Aaron Flanner.
She was preceded in death by
her father, the late George C.
Flanner III and her brother,
the late William Fellows
Flanner.
Services were private on
January 17th and interment
was at Woodlawn Cemetery
in Toledo. Kindly address
words of condolence to Mrs.
Sue Dutton, 11020 Industrial
Pkwy., Bolivar, OH 44612, or
Mr. George Flanner, 3715
Sulphur Spring Rd., Toledo,
OH 43606. Memorial
donations may be made to
Sparrow's nest (Women's
division of the Cherry St.
Mission) or Hospice of
Northwest Ohio.
